KTM launches new 2022 KTM 450 and 250 SX-F factory models-Racer X

Murrieta, California-Since the first KTM 450 SX-F factory version was proudly launched as the "Dungey Replica" in 2012, the KTM factory version model has been setting performance in the fierce off-road motorcycle and supercross field And technical benchmarks. Now, after 11 Ready to Race models and five 450SX championships, the new KTM 450 SX-F factory version and KTM 250 SX-F factory version are ready to be launched in dealer venues and stadiums across the United States, just in time for the first Tickets to the 2022 AMA Super Cross Country Championship in Anaheim, California on January 8.

The new KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition has never defined the preparation for the race so accurately. It will form the basis of a factory machine driven by two-time 450SX champion Cooper Webb and his thumping teammates Marvin Musquin and Aaron Plessinger. With feedback and successful development from Red Bull KTM Factory racers, as well as an exclusive sale of only 400 units, this newly designed machine is perfect for emerging Supercross champions who want to take advantage of the same competitive advantages they enjoy. The 2022 KTM 250 SX-F factory version is also unique, offering only 400 units. It is an elite racing car manufactured to the highest specifications. It is the machine of choice for Red Bull KTM rising star Max Vohland in the 250 cc department. It is the ultimate mid-level machine for anyone who wants to dominate the season at the local or national level. The whole line adopts brand-new design and top-level components, which is the undisputed leader in the new category.

Although the 2022 factory version machines benefit from a list of specific 250 cc and 450 cc engine updates and improvements, they share the same competitive advantages provided by the new chassis, including new rocker arms, subframes, and frames. With quality concentration and bending optimization as the main goals, KTM engineers reimagined these key components to produce a new integrated rocker arm with optimized topology and bending, and a new aluminum-polyamide hybrid subcar that provides advanced durability and rigidity Frame, and the inspired frame design with a new design. The shock-proof frame greatly improves the feeling and comfort. And, of course, faithful to the aesthetics of the factory version, the frame has a bright orange powder coating and comes standard with frame guards and anti-skid plates. 

Taking electronics to a new level and adding traction control, two optional maps and start control, this is the latest technological miracle designed by KTM engineers. The Quickshifter function allows clutch-less upshifts from second to fifth gear. Use the QS button on the brand new switch to activate or deactivate this feature, which cleverly combines functions for instant use.    

What is striking is the new bodywork with an improved rider triangle that can better contact the knees, especially when standing, which can inspire confidence of any rider level. The increased contact surface on the body makes it easier for the bike to move on the track, and improves overall handling and flexibility. The flat seat profile combined with the proven Selle Dalla Valle high-grip seat cover perfectly fits KTM's Ready to Race method and gives the rider excellent control in any situation. The graphics of the new KTM SX-F factory version is closely based on the Red Bull KTM factory racing car that will be used in the 2022 season. The sponsor’s logo and graphic design elements are implemented using in-mold technology, ensuring a high-quality factory race appearance even after intense riding.

As often found on the KTM factory version, the top racing derivative components are standard equipment to ensure that you are ready for any level of competition. The CNC-machined Factory Racing triple clamp is made of high-grade aluminum, with optimized steering rod stiffness, perfect alignment of the front fork tube, and precise geometry of the front fork clamp to ensure high response and smooth front fork motion. A simple offset adjustment of 20 mm or 22 mm can provide maximum processing gain. DID Dirt Star’s black high-strength alloy rims with laser-engraved logos are paired with orange CNC-machined wheels, using lightweight black spokes and orange anodized aluminum spokes. Original wheels are paired with Dunlop GEOMAX MX33 Motocross tires developed by top AMA Supercross and Motocross to enhance handling, turning and traction. 

The new KTM 450 SX-F factory version and KTM 250 SX-F factory version will arrive at authorized KTM dealer floors in February this year and will start in January this year. These models are only available in the United States. For more information, please visit KTM.com.
