Hoyt Archery today released its 2022 hunting bow series, which uses next-generation carbon fiber riser technology and a flagship aluminum riser model with multiple performance upgrades.

Hoyt has long been a leader in carbon riser bows. The company's newly launched REDWRX Carbon RX-7 ($1,849) in 2022 represents the culmination of years of behind-the-scenes design and testing, bringing significant benefits to archers.

First of all, the RX-7 is lighter than Hoyt's previous carbon fiber bow, and has a slimmer profile, reducing vibration by 29%. In addition, the RX-7 riser cancels the aluminum end caps on the previous version of the Hoyt carbon fiber riser, making the transition from the riser to the limb bag more streamlined.

Another new feature of RX-7 is Vital Point Grip, which has higher comfort and flatter angle, which can concentrate hand pressure in the center to reduce hand torque. Hoyt also upgraded last year's HBX cam and created an easier-to-adjust HBX Pro cam system, while still providing only two modules to cover the entire stretch length range. Other highlights include an enhanced inline attachment mounting system with Picatinny rails for cleaning sight attachments; including shortstop stabilizers; front and side stabilizer mounts; and a full set of noise and vibration reduction accessories, such as Shock Pods, Limb Shox, Holeshots and Stealth Shot string suppressors.

REDWRX Carbon RX-7 has a standard 30-inch shaft-to-shaft model and a 34-inch shaft-to-shaft Ultra model. The standard RX-7 has a stand height of 6 inches, an IBO speed rating of 342 fps, a mass weight of 3.9 pounds, and can accommodate a stretched length of 25-30 inches. The RX-7 Ultra has a stand height of 7 inches, an IBO speed rating of 334 fps, a mass of 4.4 pounds, and can accommodate stretch lengths of 27-32 inches. Both models can provide 30-80 pounds of pulling force.

Hoyt is following up on the success of its 2021 Ventum aluminum riser bow, launching the newly launched Ventum Pro ($1,349) in 2022. The rig maintains the overall design and geometry, making the original Ventum such an excellent shooter while reducing It weighs a quarter of a pound mass and adds several new features. These include the new Vital Point Grip, which uses new materials to increase comfort and uses a flatter angle to concentrate hand pressure on the center of the handle to reduce torque.

Hoyt also upgraded the HBX cam and created the HBX Pro cam system, which is easier to adjust and provides an improved sight image due to slight modifications to the hub design. Most importantly, the new cam is lighter than the original cam and generates less vibration.

Other highlights of Ventum Pro include an enhanced in-line accessory mounting system with Picatinny rails for clear line-of-sight connection; including shortstop stabilizers; and a full set of noise and vibration reduction accessories, such as Shock Pods, Limb Shox, Holeshots And Stealth Shot string suppressor.

Ventum Pro has two models-a 30-inch shaft-to-axis version with an IBO speed rating of 342 fps, and a 33-inch shaft-to-axis version with an IBO speed rating of 334 fps. The Ventum Pro 30 has a stand height of 6 inches, a mass of 4.45 pounds, and can accommodate a stretched length of 25-30 inches. Ventum Pro 33 has a stand height of 6.375 inches, a mass of 4.67 pounds, and can accommodate stretch lengths of 26-31 inches. Both models can provide 30-80 pounds of pulling force.

Both REDWRX Carbon RX-7 and Ventum Pro are designed with the new Hoyt Superlite quiver, allowing you to install the quiver very close to the riser for optimal bow balance. The bow also provides a lower SL sidebar installation position to achieve a more streamlined stabilizer setting.

All REDWRX Carbon RX-7 and Ventum Pro models offer nine finish options for you to choose from. Solid colors include black, deerskin, and wilderness. Camouflage options include Realtree Edge, Kuiu Verde 2.0, Optifade Subalpine and Optifade Elevated II. Finally, there are Cameron Hanes and Michael Waddell signature series models.
